Project Overview

Dhaka Dash 30K is a premier long-distance running event celebrating the spirit of endurance and community. As the lead designer, I was entrusted with crafting a unified brand identity and immersive event experience that would resonate with runners, sponsors, and spectators alike. The challenge was to create a visual language that felt energetic, inclusive, and distinctly local—while maintaining clarity and professionalism across all touchpoints.

Design Process

  • Discovery & Conceptualization:
I began by exploring the emotional core of the event resilience, pride, and movement. Moodboards and sketches helped define a bold, kinetic aesthetic rooted in Dhaka’s urban energy.
  • Identity Development:
The logo and color palette were designed to evoke motion and confidence. Typography choices balanced legibility with personality, suitable for both print and digital formats.
  • Race Category Differentiation:
Each race (30K, 15K 7.5K, 1.5K Kids) received its own visual sub-identity—distinct medal designs, race tees, and bibs—while remaining part of the unified brand system.
  • Event Collateral Design:
I designed over a dozen key assets including:
    • Start line arch and finisher banners
    • Race tees and crew jerseys
    • Kit bags and sponsor posters
    • Medal visuals and race bibs
    • Outdoor promotional signage and social media graphics
  • Participant Experience:
Every design element was crafted to enhance the runner’s journey—from kit pickup to finish line photos. The “PROUD FINISHER” visuals were especially designed to celebrate personal achievement and encourage social sharing.

Outcome & Impact

The design system is now being considered as a template for future Deshghuri events.

The event attracted hundreds of runners across categories, with strong visual cohesion across all materials.

Sponsors praised the clarity and vibrancy of the branding, which helped elevate their presence.

Participants engaged enthusiastically with the visuals—many sharing photos with branded backdrops and tees
