🎨 Concept & Creative Direction

The AIMS Kids Series celebrates childhood joy, movement, and community. For the 2026 Sherpur edition, I crafted a vibrant, playful visual identity rooted in indigenous motifs and local color palettes, reflecting Sherpur’s cultural warmth and rural charm. The design aimed to feel joyful, inclusive, and proudly Bangladeshi, while staying accessible to children and families.

  • Color Story: Bright tones inspired by rural festivities — mango yellow, clay orange, leafy green — to evoke energy and warmth.
  • Typography: Rounded, friendly fonts for readability and childlike appeal.
  • Illustration Style: Hand-drawn elements and ethnic patterns subtly woven into banners and backdrops to honor local heritage.

🛠️ Design Process

  • Research & Moodboarding: Studied Sherpur’s visual culture, children’s art styles, and previous AIMS Kids Series editions.
  • Sketch to Digital: Started with hand sketches of banner layouts and jersey motifs, then digitized and refined in Illustrator.
  • Kit Design:
    • Race Jersey: Color-coded by age group, with playful graphics and bold “I AM A CHAMPION” messaging.
    • Bib Numbers: Clean layout with sponsor and event branding, designed for easy readability.
    • Kit Bag: Durable, cheerful design with event logo and indigenous accents.
  • Backdrop & Banners: Created large-format visuals for stage and race zones, integrating sponsor logos and thematic illustrations.

🌈 Outcome

Local media and district officials highlighted the design as a key part of the event’s success.

Over 1000 children participated, each receiving a full race kit designed to make them feel proud and included.

The event visuals were praised for their vibrancy, cultural relevance, and child-friendly appeal, helping create a festive atmosphere that resonated with both kids and parents.
